Northern Light

Northern Light is not a direct translation of the Japanese edition. It is an international serialized edition, restructured as near-future fiction about AI, depopulation, funerals, memory, human judgment, geopolitics, and the rebuilding of northern Japan.

これは、人間が自分の問いを手放し始めた時、何が起きるのかを描く物語です。舞台は北日本。人口が減っていく地域、名前の少ない葬儀、記憶を継ぐ人の減少、そして便利すぎるAIとの関係が交差します。

This story is fiction. But its background is real: a shrinking region, a temple, funerals with fewer names, aging communities, and the question of what humans should still decide when AI becomes too convenient.

Aomori as a Northern AI Infrastructure Hub

Aomori may not become Japan’s Silicon Valley by imitating Silicon Valley. It may become something different: a northern infrastructure hub for AI, energy, cooling, data centers, logistics, and national resilience.
